2005Norwegian Christmas Cheer in BeijingSince we have several Norwegians in the company, we decided to introduce a little bit of European Holiday Cheer. Erlend, was just coming out from Norway, so he brought us a special treat! Traditional gingerbread cookies, and glug! What is 'glug', you might ask? Well, it's a rather unwholesome fruity liquor which we diluted with red wine. The mix was heated in our office kettle (which will probably never boil water again)! 2006Adventures in SkiingOur first company outing was to Badaling. Traditionally known for being the closest link of the Great Wall to Beijing, we found it to also have a wholly refined and dignified ski-slope. Images of Whistler, Chamonix, Jackson Hole... Badaling leaves them all in the dust! Well, maybe not. It will take a few more decades before Beijing hosts the Winter Olympics. |
